What Shopping Without a List Taught Me About Training in Perimenopause

The other day, I did something I haven’t done in ages:

I went food shopping without a list.

I figured I’d remember everything I needed.

But I didn’t.

Instead, I wandered aimlessly.

I forgot essentials, bought things I didn’t need and left feeling stressed and disorganised.

It reminded me of what it’s like for many women training during perimenopause.

Trying to figure it out alone, following random workouts and feeling like nothing is working.

Here’s the truth:

A plan isn’t just about hitting goals. It’s about relief.

In perimenopause, our bodies change. Energy shifts. Motivation dips. And the noise out there? It’s overwhelming.

A solid plan helps you:

• Save time

• Cut through confusion

• Feel more in control

• Stay consistent

• Stress less

That’s why I always train with a plan and why my 1:1 clients do too.

As a certified personal trainer and perimenopause coach, I create purposeful, hormone-aware fitness plans that work for your life, not against it.

If you’re over 40 and tired of the guessing game, I’m here to help.
