Low Energy? This Is Your Reminder to Just Start with 5 Minutes

I started the week on such a high.

My energy was up, motivation was strong and I was ready to tackle my workouts head-on. You know those weeks when everything clicks? That was me.

But by the end of the week… things felt very different.

I was tired.

Low.

Flat.

And honestly? I didn’t want to move at all.

When your energy dips like that — especially during perimenopause — it’s so easy to write the day off. Skip the workout. Wait until you “feel like it” again.

But here’s what happened.

We had a gym event I didn’t want to miss, so I went anyway. I didn’t overthink it. I just laced up my shoes, walked through the door and started warming up with the amazing people I train with.

And within minutes, my energy shifted.

The fog lifted.

The heaviness eased.

And I felt like myself again.

That moment reminded me — and I hope reminds you — that it’s not about sticking to the “perfect plan” or feeling endlessly motivated. It’s about showing up. Starting small.

Letting movement do its magic.

So if you’re feeling like I was — low, tired, unmotivated — try this:

Just give yourself 5 minutes.

Stretch. Walk. Breathe.

Do something simple and kind to your body.

Most of the time, that tiny step is all you need to turn the day around.

You don’t need to wait until you feel ready.

Just start.

The feeling often follows the action 💜
