Stop Waiting for Motivation — Start Moving Today

You said you’d start exercising again when the kids went back to school…

Well, it’s nearly the end of September.

And you still haven’t started.

Here’s the truth: most women I coach in perimenopause don’t begin their fitness journey with motivation.

They begin with:

• Low energy from poor sleep

• Doubt about whether their bodies can get strong again

• Worry that nothing will work anymore

But once they start moving (even a little), something shifts.

They notice their strength returning.

Their mood feels lighter.

Their energy starts to build.

Their confidence grows.

And suddenly, motivation shows up.

Not at the beginning but as the result of taking action.

I see it with all my clients. And it’s fascinating to witness time and time again!

Motivation isn’t the starter fuel. It’s the reward.

So if you’re waiting to “feel ready,” here’s your reminder: you don’t have to.

And trust me, its so liberating to finally realise this.

You can take one small step today, a 10-minute walk, a few bodyweight exercises, or stretching before bed.

Movement during perimenopause isn’t just about fitness. It helps with mood swings, improves sleep, builds bone strength and gives you energy for the day.

Give it a go!
